I created Cam’s Urban Farm in the beginning of 2023 as a platform to share my explorations in the fascinating world of mushrooms and mushroom cultivation, at first producing videos and guides on the basics of mushroom cultivation and extraction for anyone with the inclination to learn. 

That same year, COVID layoffs stripped me of a job and provided me with a perfect opportunity to turn mushrooms into my main line of work. I began selling extracts from the mushrooms I was growing in my basement, and the positive impacts that my first few customers reported set me on a mission of sharing these benefits with as many people as possible. 

In 2024, I decided to move out of the basement and into a warehouse in Queens, with the goal of additionally providing fresh local mushrooms to the people of NYC in addition to continuing with the extracts. Now, Cam’s Urban Farm seeks to inspire culinary exploration, health, and wellness by producing quality gourmet mushrooms and potent functional mushroom extracts from the most densely populated city in America!
